The granting of the DEN Innovation Award is a fixed component and is becoming a tradition of the congress "Partnership in Clinical Trials (PCT)". It is awarded annually for outstanding ideas capable of substantially improving the conduct of clinical studies. In 2015, the award went to Wenke Schult for developing the division emovis Homecare Visits.
The idea of conducting homecare visits within the scope of clinical studies decidedly improves the lives of precisely severely ill or immobile patients. The jury in 2015 must have thought that too when they awarded Wenke Schult the prize.
